One has to fill details like Policy number, premium amount, date of birth and email id etc. An automated mail will then be received upon successful registration. One can easily check the status of their policy online which includes checking details like- premium payments, bonuses, group schemes etc. One has to simply log in to the LIC website and fill in the credentials. To track the status follow the below mentioned steps-
- One has to go to LIC website and click on Online services option
- User will be directed to the login page and then select the registered user option
- Fill in your username and password and click on GO
- List of tools will be opened for the registered customer
- Select the option View Enrolled Policies
- You will be directed to the page where all the policies you have enrolled for will be listed
- By clicking on the Policy, one can easily check the status of their policy.
How to track the Policy Status online for without registration:
Apart from online option, one can easily check the status of their policy via SMS using mobile phone. This also eliminates the chaos associated with forgetting the password while checking the policy status online. For checking the policy via SMS on your phone should remember their policy number.
To check the LIC Policy surrender value:
Basic Sum Assured (Total number of payable premiums/Number of paid premiums) + Total bonus you receive x Surrender Value Factor.
To check the surrender value of your policy, one can calculate the same easily by applying the above mentioned formula.
To check the Policy status via IVRS:
LIC has made Integrated Voice response system available 24X7 in almost all cities. Any policy holder can dial the UAN- Universal Access Number 1251 and can get hold of their customer care team and check the status of their policy via phone.
For making a local call via BSNL and MTNL simply dial 1251. For other than local users one dials the local city code followed by 1251.
One can also reach their regional and zonal offices. The regional offices are classified into eight zones- Northern Zone, Southern Zone, Western Zone, Eastern Zone, Central Zone, North Central Zone, South Central Zone, West Central Zone, East Central Zone and West Central Zone.
